Backflow Testing
Oxford Water Conditioning

HOW BACKFLOW CAN OCCUR
Backflow is an unintended reversal of water through a plumbing connection. A pressure change can draw or push non-potable water toward the drinking-water system when a cross-connection is not properly protected.

TESTING HELPS VERIFY THE PROTECTION DEVICE
A backflow-prevention assembly contains check valves and, in some designs, a relief valve that must operate within specified pressure ranges. Field testing measures that performance and reveals conditions that are not visible from the outside.

PROTECTION FOR HOMES AND BUSINESSES
Backflow devices may be required on irrigation, fire protection, boiler, commercial, or other plumbing connections. Device selection and installation should follow local requirements and the conditions at the property.

Backflow Protection for Commercial and Industrial Systems
Facilities with complex piping, process equipment, irrigation, chemicals, or variable pressure can present greater cross-connection risks. The appropriate protection depends on the hazard level, system design, and requirements of the local authority.
RPZ assemblies, double-check assemblies, air gaps, and other approved methods are used in different applications. Routine testing verifies that valves respond correctly and identifies worn seals, springs, checks, or relief components before a device is relied upon.
Backflow Testing in the Oxford Area
Oxford Water Conditioning tests, services, installs, and replaces backflow-prevention assemblies. We use calibrated test equipment to evaluate device performance, document results, and explain whether maintenance, repair, or replacement is needed.
Testing schedules and reporting requirements vary by device and jurisdiction. Contact our team with the property location and device information so we can help arrange the appropriate service.
